How to use the Clock In / Clock Out panel

Use this page to learn the complete mobile workflow in English: sign in, open a schedule, clock in, clock out, solve common issues, and install the portal as an app on your phone.

This page is public. No password is required to read the instructions.
What you need Phone number and pass code Use the same cell phone number and pass code assigned to your subcontractor profile.
Required permissions Location and camera The clock form requires live location access and a live photo. Gallery uploads are not accepted in the punch form.
Before clock out Have your job description ready Clock out requires a short description of the work completed plus a new live photo.

Before you start

  • Use Safari on iPhone or Chrome on Android for the best mobile experience.
  • Keep mobile internet or Wi-Fi enabled.
  • Make sure location services are turned on for the browser.

When to use this panel

  • Open the panel when you arrive at the jobsite to clock in.
  • Open the same panel again when you are ready to leave to clock out.
  • If a worker schedule exists, use that schedule card inside the portal.

What to prepare

  • Your phone number.
  • Your pass code.
  • A short work description for clock out.
  • A live photo taken from the phone camera.
Step 1

Log in to the field portal

The login page is the entry point for workers and supervisors in the field. Use the phone number and pass code linked to your subcontractor account.

1
Open the Field Login page Go to the public field portal login page. If you received the link by message, save it to your phone for future use.
2
Enter your cell phone number Type the phone number registered in the system. Use the same number shown in your subcontractor profile.
3
Enter your pass code Use the pass code provided by the office. If the code is wrong, stop and ask for the correct code before trying again many times.
4
Tap Login After a successful login, the portal opens your field dashboard. If your session expired, simply log in again.

Tip: if you use the portal often, install it as an app on your phone. Installation steps are at the bottom of this page.
Step 2

Open the correct schedule

After login, review your schedule for the current day. Each schedule gives you a direct path to the clock screen for that job.

1
Review today's assignments Use the daily calendar view to confirm the correct job, time, and address before submitting any punch.
2
Open the schedule details Tap the schedule card or calendar item to review the address, department, and current clock status.
3
Use the Clock button from that schedule This keeps your punch connected to the correct contract and task. Do not guess the job if multiple schedules exist.

Step 3

Clock in correctly

Clock in when you arrive at the jobsite. The form requires location, address confirmation, and a live photo from your phone camera.

1
Allow location access If the page asks for location, approve it. The clock form cannot be submitted until the phone shares latitude and longitude.
2
Confirm the department If the form shows department options such as Framing, Hanging, Finishing, or Other, choose the correct one. If the department is locked by the schedule, just review it.
3
Enter worker count only if the field appears Some accounts show a "How many workers?" field. If it appears, enter the total number of workers for that punch. If it does not appear, skip this step.
4
Confirm the job address Check that the address matches the jobsite. Update it only if the displayed address is not correct.
5
Take a live photo Tap the photo field to open the camera and take a new picture. The form is designed for live capture, not an old image from the gallery.
6
Tap Clock In Wait for the success confirmation. Do not close the page before the form finishes saving.

Important: if location or camera permission is blocked, the punch will not complete correctly.
Step 4

Clock out at the end of the work

Clock out from the same schedule when the work period is finished. This form asks for a work description and a new live photo.

1
Open the same schedule again Return to the schedule that is currently open. The portal will show the Clock Out version of the form if you are already clocked in.
2
Review the existing clock-in time The page shows the time you already clocked in. Verify that it belongs to your current job before continuing.
3
Confirm the address and worker count Update the address only if needed. If the worker count field appears, confirm the final number for that shift.
4
Write the job description Add a short and clear summary of the work completed. Example: "Hung drywall in unit B, north corridor."
5
Take a new live photo Use the camera again. The clock out form also expects a live image taken at the time of submission.
6
Tap Clock Out Wait for the success message before leaving the page. Your time entry is complete only after the form is saved.

Troubleshooting

Use these checks before calling the office. Most mobile punch problems are caused by the wrong credentials or blocked phone permissions.

I cannot log in

  • Confirm that the phone number matches your profile.
  • Confirm that the pass code is still correct.
  • Remove extra spaces or symbols if you pasted the pass code.
  • If it still fails, contact the office to verify your access.

The page says location is required

  • Allow location for the browser when asked.
  • If you already denied it, open browser settings and change location permission to allow.
  • Reload the page after updating permission.

The camera does not open

  • Allow camera access for the browser.
  • Close any other app that is using the camera.
  • Reload the page and tap the photo field again.

I do not see the right schedule

  • Check the date on the dashboard.
  • Use the correct assignment for the current jobsite.
  • If the schedule is missing, contact the office before punching under the wrong job.
Optional

Install the portal as an app on your phone

The portal supports PWA installation. This creates an app-style icon on the home screen and makes future access faster.

iPhone or iPad (Safari)

  1. Open the Field Login page in Safari.
  2. Tap the Share button in Safari.
  3. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
  4. Rename the shortcut if needed.
  5. Tap Add.
  6. Open the new icon from your home screen and log in normally.

If you do not see Add to Home Screen, make sure you are using Safari, not another browser on iPhone.

Android (Chrome)

  1. Open the Field Login page in Chrome.
  2. Wait a few seconds for the install prompt, or open the Chrome menu.
  3. Tap Install app or Add to Home screen.
  4. Confirm the installation.
  5. Open the new app icon and use it like a normal mobile app.

If Chrome does not show the install option immediately, refresh the page and try again after the portal fully loads.

PWA best practices

  • Install the app after you confirm the login page opens correctly on your phone.
  • Keep location and camera permission enabled for the installed app.
  • If the app seems outdated, close it fully and reopen it while connected to the internet.
